Maureen Joy Charter School demonstrates increased academic strength each year, and when it comes to meeting the needs of economically disadvantaged students, our school is dramatically outperforming other schools. We believe that to achieve as a collective, it is essential to meet the needs of all students, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
While academic data from state assessments is just one way we measure our progress towards our Portrait of a Learner (POL), it is not the ultimate goal but rather a tool to gauge our progress. We believe in the power of data to drive results for our students. To that end, we collect and analyze data daily in each class, throughout the year on interim assessments, and at the end of the year through state assessments. All 3rd - 8th grade scholars participate in the state's End of Grade assessments. This data is critical in informing our instruction, ensuring that every child receives the best education we have to offer every day, in every class, and every year.
